Applicant Tracking Systems – It all boils down to key words. However, some Applicant Tracking Systems have progressed to using Conceptual Application – in what context is the key word being used? It is better to use key words in some context such as a Professional Summary or Profile section rather than using an itemized list.
An itemized list can come across as nothing more than an opinion of yourself especially if you are using some soft skills. Develop a bullet point for the Summary, Profile, Professional Experience, or any other section of the resume using one or two of your key words. Now, they still appear on your resume, but are being used in at least some context.
