How to Handle the “Tell Me About Yourself” and similar Open-Ended Questions during a Job Interview

The “Tell Me About Yourself” or similar open-ended questions are the type of questions job seekers should hope to get asked during an interview. It is the most candidate friendly question there possibly could be! The interviewer has just given you the opportunity to tell them anything you want! What would you tell them? Solid preparation and use of soft-skills that are backed-up and proved by factual statements is a good strategy. All job seekers should develop an elevator pitch, which is a very brief summary of your skills, experience, passions, and future goals. Your elevator pitch can be a valuable resource as you work though multiple aspects of the job search process including establishing direction, improving your interviewing skills, and interview evaluation.
