Interview Advice

I love this post! The alternate responses are much better, but there is one more step that should be taken. When you mention a soft skill like "excellent communication skills" in an interview, always follow up with concrete evidence by providing a specific example that proves the soft skill is a true statement. Otherwise, you are simply giving an opinion of yourself. Although the alternate responses are better, they are still opinions.
The next step is to prove that the statement is correct by giving a specific example, such as “I ensure that jobs are executed according to the guidelines. For example, I am currently responsible for conducting field audits at multiple locations to verify all operational procedures are compliant with company standards.” Just a brief statement that proves its true.
